Canyoning in Dalat
Bite-sized trip
Day 1 – Arrival in Dalat
When you arrive in Dalat, you’ll immediately feel the change in temperature. Palm trees are replaced by conifers, and you’ll almost feel like you’re in the European Alps! You’ll be staying at a beautiful lakeside retreat, perfect for some much-needed peace and quiet after your adventures through Vietnam. After checking in, spend your afternoon on the lake with a pedal boat ride or explore the charming local surroundings by bicycle. In the evening, the quiet streets come alive as saleswomen display their wares at the night market. Among the shops, local food sizzles on mini barbecues, paired perfectly with a variety of local wines to taste!
Day 2 – Canyoning adventure
After breakfast, your guide will be waiting for you. A short drive later, you’ll leave Dalat behind and find yourself immersed in nature. Gear up with a helmet and harness, and get ready to learn the basics of canyoning. Your guide will demonstrate how to tie knots and descend on a rope. Then it’s your turn! Feel the adrenaline rush as you stand at the edge of the 15-meter drop. With a thumbs up from your guide, it’s time to go over the edge. The nerves might kick in, but it’s an exhilarating experience. At the bottom, a refreshing splash in the river awaits, followed by a fun slide down a natural rock slide. After all the excitement, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to your hotel.
If this is a little too adventurous we can also arrange mountain biking and kayaking – just ask your Travel Specialist for more details. There are many Buddhist monasteries and temples around Dalat, which you can easily explore with a self-arranged taxi.

Day 3 – Departure from Dalat
Time to leave the tranquillity of Dalat behind and continue on your Vietnam journey. If you’re looking for beach time, travel to the lively seaside resort of Mui Né. Or if you’re seeking a city buzz, fly from Dalat to Ho Chi Minh City.
