Hammock on Palm Island
Bite-sized tripDay 1 – Arrival on Palm Island
Arriving on Palm Island you’ll swap the traffic and tourists for simple barefoot bliss. Your bungalow will be rustic but beautiful, with the sea just footsteps from the veranda. There are just 30 bungalows on the island, all hidden between the palm trees. Each one feels like a secret slice of private paradise. Grab a book, crack open a cold beer, and soak up the sunshine.
Days 2-3 – Free time on Palm Island
Your time on Palm Island is free for you to do as you wish. The turquoise waters offshore are crammed with hard and soft coral as well as all kinds of sea life. It’s an underwater playground for divers and snorkellers to explore. Between April and July, whales and whale sharks arrive around the island, so if you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse. If you’ve left your snorkelling gear behind, fear not – you can rent anything from a water mask to diving equipment and sea kayaks from your hotel.
The French and Vietnamese staff at the resort are full of easy smiles and eager to help. The restaurant serves traditional dishes with a French influence and it’s a real delight. Spend long, lazy days on the beach, snorkel with clown fish and sip on a cocktail at sunset.
At the end of your stay, you’ll be brought back to Nha Trang by boat and then minibus. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or taken straight to the airport or railway station.
