If your idea of tropical paradise is palm-fringed sandy shores, calm waters perfect for snorkelling and beach barbecues at sunset then look no further than the coastal town of Hoi An. Most famously known for its lanterns, tailors, and ancient streets, you'll fall in love with the relaxed vibes and the endless activities that make Hoi An the perfect family beach destination.

Day 1 – Arrival at Hoi An beach

Arriving in Hoi An, you’ll be taken to your boutique resort, located on the beach and just ten minutes from the ancient centre. You’ll be surrounded by tropical gardens and swaying palm trees, with a huge outdoor pool that stretches out to the beach. The resort is as family-friendly as you could possibly wish for, with special activities for kids and an indulgent spa for the adults. Interconnecting rooms are available.

Day 2 – Explore Hoi An

After a lazy morning in the sun with the occasional swim and a spot of breakfast, why not take kayaks out on the calm waters or arrange a snorkelling trip to the nearby Cham Islands? If you prefer to keep dry, sun loungers and parasols line the private beach and there are plenty of sand-based activities for the whole family to enjoy.

If you fancy stretching your legs, then the old town is just a ten minute drive away, with a complimentary shuttle available. We recommend taking a leisurely cycle though, as you ride along quiet country roads past farmers and buffalo at work in their fields until you reach the lantern-filled streets. You’ll find them lined with tailors, cafes, independent shops and galleries all housed in centuries-old heritage town houses and all easily explored by foot.

Day 3 – Countryside cycling tour & free time

A superb way of deviating from the normal tourist trail, you’ll spend a few hours this morning with your own private guide leisurely cycling through the scenic countryside that links the old town to the beach. Passing through rice paddies and farms along the way, you’ll use ferries and floating bridges to cross the islands on the river delta and pay a visit to local artisans, stopping off for a chat and learning all about life as a local in this peaceful area outside the city. The rest of the day is yours to spend as you please.

Day 4 – Departure from Hoi An

After a relaxing few days in tropical paradise, today would see you move on to your next destination. All of your transfers and domestic travel are arranged in advance and timed to ensure you needn’t be rushing anywhere if you can avoid it.

If you fancy an extended beach stay (who can blame you?) then your stay is fully flexible and additional days are easily arranged.
