Lazing Around on Langkawi

Bite-sized trip
  • Itinerary:
    Langkawi
  • Duration:
    4 days / 3 nights (flexible)
  • Price:
From £ 369.- per person (excluding flights)
Langkawi is a tropical paradise worthy of any postcard. With calm, turquoise waters, swaying coconut palms and soft white sands, it’s somewhere to kick off your flip flops and melt into a sun lounger. It’s by far the most popular beach destination in Malaysia, but has managed to hold on to its colourful local culture. If you venture beyond the beaches, you’ll find a place packed with character.
Pulau Lang Tengah Island Malaysia

Days 1-3 – Arrival in Langkawi & free time

During this beach break, you’ll stay on one of the island’s most popular stretches of sand. For this accommodation option we have chosen one of the larger properties that has excellent facilities and good sized rooms. Time to relax!

Langkawi offers a huge menu of activities, including waterfall tours, jungle treks, sunset cruises and snorkelling trips. In other words, there’s no chance of getting bored! You’ll spend three nights on Langkawi, lazing on the beaches, wandering through handicraft markets and tasting authentic food. If you manage to drag yourself off the sand, take the cable car up to the top of Gunung Machincang for a panoramic view of Malaysia and Southern Thailand, set off on a day trip in search of hidden waterfalls or hire a bike to explore the traditional Kampungs behind the beaches.

Day 4 – Departure from Langkawi

After your final night you’ll be picked up and transferred to the airport for your onward flight. It is possible to visit Langkawi all year round, but if you are hankering for good weather then avoid April to October, when the monsoon passes through. By Asian standards, it’s a light monsoon, but it could dampen your spirits if you’re looking for blue skies.
