Day 1 – Luang Prabang – Vang Vieng

This morning, you’ll be collected from your hotel in Luang Prabang and taken to the bus station, where you’ll board the local bus to Vang Vieng. The journey will take you through dense jungle, across high mountain passes and past emerald valleys. When you arrive, you’ll make your own way to your hotel which is perched on the riverbank. In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious meal and a cold drink as the sun slowly sets behind the Karst Mountains.

Day 2 – Discover Vang Vieng adventure tour

Today, you’ll go on an adventure through the countryside surrounding Vang Vieng. Your day will start with a leisurely kayaking trip on the Nam Song River, which flows past stunning limestone formations. After about 2 hours, you will reach a local Khamu village where you will have a typical lunch, learning about the traditions and culture in this area, how rice wine is produced and the art of forging your own knife with a local knife smith.

Later in the afternoon, your guide will lead you through the rice paddies to a cave, passing by farmers working on the fields. On the way back to the village, you stop at a local rice hut and try some of the rice wine, while learning more about the importance of agriculture in Laos. As the sun slowly sets, you’ll continue back to your hotel.

Day 3 – Vang Vieng – Vientiane

After breakfast, you’ll make your own way to the Vang Vieng bus station just outside the city centre and take the public bus to Vientiane.
