Bangkok is one of the most famous Asian cities, where east meets west and tasty food stalls adorn every corner. During your time here you will head out at sunrise with your local guide to explore the cultures and communities behind the bright lights of this bustling cosmopolitan city. Take a ride through the canals, or Khlongs, on a longtail boat to get a different perspective of the city and finish the afternoon on a rooftop bar overlooking the sprawling cityscape.

Day 1 – Arrival in Bangkok

You’ll be collected from the airport and taken directly to your hotel located on the Chao Phraya river close to Khao San Road. This street is where two worlds meet, the Thai people and tourists come together to fill the pavement cafes and browse the markets. Your hotel has a swimming pool on the roof – perfect for those hot days and all of Bangkok’s main sites are within easy reach.

Day 2 – Discover hidden Bangkok

Get under the skin of Bangkok and get to know the city in a more authentic way, uncovering the hidden side. Wander through small alleyways and learn about guardian spirits and amulets at local markets. Next swap your two feet for a longtail boat as you explore Bangkok’s maze of canals or Klongs. Visit a canal-side artist community of preserved wooden homes, art studios and galleries.

Marvel at the magnificent Wat Arun also known as the Temple of Dawn and the 17th century Wat Po, famed for its Reclining Buddha. The beautiful architecture and fine craftsmanship make Wat Arun as one of the most remarkable temples in Thailand. The afternoon ends in style as you take in the view from a rooftop bar overlooking the Chao Phraya River and across to the glistening Wat Arun.

Day 3 – Departure from Bangkok

After another good night’s sleep at your riverside hotel, your Bangkok trip comes to an end this morning. Fill up on breakfast and pack your things before heading on to your next destination.
