Make new friends at your family-run hotel, take a tuk-tuk ride through the beautiful temples and historic ruins in this captivating city and embark on a very unique treasure hunt! Who will win the prize?!
Thailand Ayutthaya family trip

Day 1 – Arrival in Ayutthaya

On arrival in Ayutthaya, you’ll check in to your family run guesthouse in Ayutthaya. Your hotel has lots of character, a private balcony with views of the canal and an outdoor rainforest shower which will be an adventure in itself for the kids! There is wifi, bike rental if you wish to get out and explore the local area and plenty of choice over breakfast to suit everyone’s tastes. There is also an option to upgrade to a boutique hotel in Ayutthaya if you fancy a bit of luxury during this stay!

Day 2 – Tuk tuks and temples

Today the adventure really begins! After breakfast, you’ll be picked up by tuk tuk and whisked around the most important temples and ruins in the area. But it also turns out that you’re taking part in a real-life treasure hunt! After receiving a copy of an old diary with faded photos of this ancient city, it’s up to your family to find out where these photos were taken and note down the name of the temple or Buddha image. The perfect way to make history fun! The afternoon is free at your leisure.

Day 3 – Departure from Ayutthaya

Today, you’ll pack your bags, fill up on another delicious breakfast and head onto your next destination by sleeper train, flight, day train, or local bus! If you’re not travelling until the evening, there are plenty of things to keep your family entertained in this city – you could bike over to Rama Public Park, take a longtail boat ride through the network of canals, visit the local toy museum or we could arrange a late checkout for you to simply relax at your hotel.
