Days 1-3 – Tuk tuks and longtails in Bangkok

After your international flight you’ll arrive in the bustling capital of Bangkok. A welcoming driver will meet you and your family at the airport and transfer you to a riverside hotel with a rooftop pool. The following day you’ll go on a tuk tuk trip through Bangkok’s bustling streets and journey down the canals by longtail boat. A great way to see a different side to this vibrant city!

Days 3-6 – Rafthouses, waterfalls and the railway

You’ll then travel by minibus to the River Kwai area where you’ll learn about the haunting history, take a train ride across the infamous Burma ‘Death Railway’, dive into the sparkling waters of the Erawan Waterfalls and sleep on a floating raft house hotel, surrounded by the noises of the jungle! If you’re lucky, you may even wake to see elephants bathing in the river in the morning. On night two, you’ll stay in a Thai style family friendly hotel, set in beautiful gardens in the town of Kanchanaburi.

Days 6-8 – Jungle adventures in Khao Sok

Next you’ll be transferred back to Bangkok for you to take a sleeper train with your clan to Surat Thani. We will book you in shared carriage where the seats are turned into comfy beds with a curtain for privacy. The journey takes around 11 hours and food is served on the train but you can also grab some snacks at the railway station before your journey. If you would prefer to travel in a private two-berth couchette just let your Travel Specialist know.

You’ll journey deep into the wilds of Thailand’s famous Khao Sok National Park, where you’ll explore enchanting rainforests and swim in sparkling natural lakes. You’ll stay in a truly unique place hidden amongst the limestone cliffs; the Anurak Community Lodge, where the staff and guides are from the local community. During your stay you will take part in a kayak trip with a local guide and travel by traditional longtail boat across Racha Praba Lake to a small group of peacefully floating bamboo cottages. The view is nothing less than idyllic; steep rock formations shooting up from the still water and curious monkeys swinging through the trees. In the evenings you can simply sit back and soak up the serenity of the lush jungle, listening to the monkeys playing in the trees above.

Days 8-11 – Sun, sea and sandcastles

Now it’s time to get some island vibes on Ko Lanta. You’ll be transferred by your private driver to the ferry port before catching the ferry to Ko Lanta.

Situated right in the middle of a marine national park, Ko Lanta certainly has plenty to offer with its long, white sandy beaches that slope into the calm turquoise sea and jungle interior. You’ll stay in a comfortable resort with family rooms and a swimming pool, nestled right on the beach and short transfer to the island’s natural rainforest. You’ll have plenty of time to relax on the beach and savour the laid-back atmosphere of this tropical island. In the evenings, stroll along the beach and take your pick from one of the many cosy beachside restaurants serving traditional Thai cuisine, as well as delicious freshly caught fish.

Days 11-14 – Amongst the nature of Ao Nang

Next you will take the ferry back to mainland Thailand. We’ll arrange your tickets in advance for you.

With huge limestone cliffs rising steeply from a turquoise sea, tropical beaches, green mangroves and colourful long-tail boats, Ao Nang is a brilliant escape for families looking for a beach stay with an active side. We’ll arrange for you to stay in a quiet hotel with a swimming pool, just a short hop from the beach and near to shops for all your needs. During your time here you’ll jump into your kayak and float through azure blue lagoons and green mangrove forests. You’re likely to come across curious monkeys who will come to take a look while you paddle by.

As your family adventure in Thailand comes to an end you will  make your own way to Krabi airport for your international flight home.
