It’s time to discover the soul of Sri Lanka’s Hill Country – the gorgeous Knuckles Range. Your home for the next few days is a beautiful lodge perched on the edge of the hill, with emerald green tea plantations stretching as far as you can see. During your stay here, you will visit the local community and enjoy a warm traditional welcome from the host family who will invite you into their home and tell you about their life over a cup of freshly brewed tea.

Day 1 – Arrival in Madulkelle

Today you will head into the heart of the Hill Country. Only an hour drive from bustling Kandy lies one of Sri Lanka’s secret treasures, the Knuckles Range. This is a place to recharge and reconnect with yourself and we have secured a very special place for you to unwind. Perched on a hillside and surrounded by rolling tea plantations this charming eco-lodge has everything you could think of and more, including a spa, an on-site restaurant with an ever-changing seasonal menu (based on the fresh ingredients grown right here in the garden), and an infinity pool with jaw-dropping mountain views.

Day 2 – Community trip and free time

You will wake up to the magnificent views of the mountains covered in morning mist and after breakfast it’s time to explore the village not far from your lodge. With an experienced guide, you will spend some time within the local community and enjoy traditional snacks and freshly brewed tea at a local home while learning about the way of life in Sri Lankan countryside.

There is nothing else planned for you today but there are plenty of other activities, from bird watching to hiking, that can be arranged through your lodge. After a long day why not pay a visit to the on-site spa if you haven’t already?

Day 3 – Departure

Those early birds can enjoy a splendid sunrise from their own verandah – with a fresh cuppa this is just the way to start a new day.

After breakfast, it’s time to say good-bye to this heavenly place. The new destinations are waiting to be explored and your driver is ready to whisk you off to your next adventure.
