Day 1 – Arrival in Nazaré on the Atlantic coast

Arrive in Nazaré today, the perfect stopover on the beach to break up a road trip along the coast. For the next two nights, you’ll find solace in a simple yet cosy hotel nestled along the coast. From your hotel, you’ll have easy access to the shimmering beaches and a stone’s throw away from the vibrant shops and restaurants that brim with locally caught fish. As you settle into your seaside abode, let the soothing sound of crashing waves and the gentle ocean breeze wash over you. Whether you choose to stroll along the sandy shore, bask under the warm sun, or dip your toes in the refreshing waters, the beach is yours to enjoy at your own leisure.

Day 2 – Beach lazing, fishermen and islands off Nazaré

Wake up this morning and within five minutes you can be on the beach of Nazaré. Step onto the golden sands, set up your umbrella, and find your perfect spot to bask in the glorious sunshine. Join the locals as you relax on your beach towel, immersing yourself in the coastal ambiance that surrounds you. Had enough of the sun? Ride the funicular carriage to the lookout point at Sitio for panoramic views of the beach or make the pilgrimage town of Fátima. You can also explore the picturesque neighbourhood of Bairro dos Pescadores and grab a lunch of fresh seafood straight from the bay.

Day 3 – Departure from Nazaré

Today it’s time to bid farewell to the tranquil shores of Nazaré and continue your journey, heading towards your next destination. But before you do, make sure to include a stop at the enchanting castle village of Obidos along your route.
