Day 1 – Arrive at the glamping site

Today, head to the less-visited south-west of the island. As you follow along the coastline you will pass sleepy fishing villages and enjoy beautiful scenic views. We have arranged some unique accommodation for you: a dome tent complete with a jacuzzi! You have your own balcony, a fully equipped kitchen, a king size bed, fireplace and spacious bathroom. The domes enjoy a quiet location with a panoramic view of the rugged coast. Even from inside the dome you have a view as the front is almost transparent. After a day of walking and exploring pour yourself a drink and relax in your own jacuzzi.

Day 2 – Walks, waterfalls & wild swimming

Today is free for you to explore. From the glamping site you can easily reach the start of one of the most beautiful walks in Madeira: the 25 Fontes and Risco waterfalls. It’s an undulating 9km route that follows a levada – an irrigation canal that is typical to Madeira – to two impressive waterfalls. You may prefer to take a dip in the sea, and a short drive to the north will take you to Porto Moniz where you can swim in natural pools made of volcanic rock. If this sounds a little too active, take a road trip along the west coast, stopping to enjoy viewpoints such as the Boa Morte church, Ponta do Pargo lighthouse and Garganta Funda waterfall. The latter is one of the highest waterfalls in Madeira and from the parking area you can walk to a viewpoint in less than 5 minutes.

Day 3 – Time to depart

After a final dip in your private jacuzzi it’s time to continue your Madeira journey. Follow the rugged coastline back to the capital, Funchal, in less than an hour, or stop for a few nights on the sunny southern coastline at Ponta Do Sol. If you’re not ready to head back to civilisation, why not extend your glamping experience and continue exploring the rural western side of the island.
