Lisbon like a local
Bite-sized tripDay 1 – Arrival into Lisbon
Today you’ll arrive in Lisbon and stay in a centrally located, comfortable apartment, with plenty of space for your family. Winding streets, large squares and old trams adorn the streetscape of this district, but because the centre is quite compact, it is easy to discover the sights on foot. However we recommend a ride on the iconic tram during your visit.
Day 2 – Lisbon like a local tour
Today you discover Lisbon with a local, who will show you the city’s highlights and hidden gems with fun activities and treats for the children along the way. You will be on the road for about 3 hours and get to know Lisbon in a slightly different way. Your meeting point is the famous Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara viewpoint. Your guide will tell you all about Lisbon’s history, such as the 1755 earthquake, and how Lisbon has changed since then. During your walk you will pass churches, take a hidden elevator here or there and stop at an unknown amphitheatre. If you have older children, let us know and we can arrange something more suitable for teens.
Day 3 – Continue exploring
Today is free for you to explore independently. Jump on tram 28 in Campo Ourique, which will take you all the way into the centre of Lisbon. Are you travelling with small children? Then go to Parque das Nações, where you will find one of the largest aquariums in the world and beautiful parks with fountains. Or a trip to Sintra is easily arranged from Lisbon. This fairytale city is filled with colourful houses, palaces, and castles.
Day 4 – Departure from Lisbon
Lisbon is located quite centrally in Portugal. For cool activities and glamping, travel north to the Alentejo region. For a little peace and relaxation, you can reach the pristine cliff coast of Vila Nova de Milfontes in about two hours. The beaches of the Algarve are also approximately two hours’ drive away. We are happy to help you put together your ideal family trip!
