On your way to Peru or Chile, why not make a quick stopover in Bogota, the capital city of Colombia? Amble along cobbled streets, past colonial buildings and impressive street art then swing by a road-side cafe for a cup of tinto - a small cup of strong Colombian coffee. With a local artist you'll discover a different side to this incredible city as you wander through the labyrinthine streets of La Candelaria, the city’s historic heart.
Bogota city

Day 1 – Arrival in Bogota

When you arrive in the city you’ll probably be feeling a little jet-lagged, so we’ll arrange for you to be met by a local representative from our Colombia office. Along with a private driver they’ll whisk you off to your hotel in La Candelaria, right in the heart of the city. You’ll stay in a quaint and cosy hotel where you can grab a cup of tinto (coffee) and relax on the roof terrace.

Day 2 – Half day Graffiti Tour

Graffiti is often associated with vandalism, but in Bogota, the street paintings are celebrated as genuine works of art. You’ll take a half day trip to discover this side of the city with a local street artist. As you walk between the intricately painted façades of the buildings, it’s hard not to be impressed by the artistry. You’ll finish before lunch, giving you the afternoon free to explore the city.

Day 3 – Departure

Your plan for today will depend on the time of your flights. If you’re lucky you’ll have the morning free to explore the bits you missed. If you fancy venturing out of La Candelaria, the City Centre is home to the bustling Mercado de San Alejo flea market on Sundays. When it’s time to leave we’ll arrange for a transfer to pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport.
