Day 1 – Fly from Kasane to Chobe National Park

Today, fly by small plane from Kasane to the Savuti region, also known as Savute, which lies in the heart of Botswana’s beautiful Chobe National Park. You will be staying at a luxury safari lodge made up of spacious suites with a lounge, bar, dining room and expansive deck with incredible views. Everything has been elegantly furnished in calm, neutral tones to blend with the natural environment without compromising comfort. The draw to Savute is the activities and incredible wildlife experiences. Savute is home to a large population of resident elephants, which, by default of the water, tend to congregate right in front of the lodge to get a drink.

Day 2 – Safari in the Savuti region

Savute is one of the most incredible game-viewing areas within Botswana. This dynamic wilderness is a sweeping expanse of savannah brooded over by several rocky outcrops which guard a relic marsh and the dry channel that was once its lifeline, where wild dogs hunt in the dry river channel where crocodiles swam only twenty years ago. Visitors to this spectacular area can spot abundant wildlife, including a variety of birds, elephants, antelope, lion prides, black-backed jackal, bat-eared foxes, tsessebe, kudu, hyena, cheetah, Cape buffalo herds, and thousands of migrating zebra and wildebeest.

Day 3 – Fly into the Okavango Delta

You will stay the next two nights in the Moremi region. The camp is made up of modern-styled thatched safari tents with private bathrooms and an expansive lounge area with beautiful brass and soft finishes, leading towards an extended library and private deck. There is also an open-air boma and secluded swimming pool so there is no shortage of things to keep you occupied in between game drives and bush activities. Here, you will be introduced to a whole new world of wildlife; watch a Leopard stretched out lazily in the branches of a Mopane tree and herds of Elephant grazing under a canopy of green.

Day 4 – Exploring the Moremi region

The amazing foresight of Chief Moremi created one of the world’s most famous reserves, conserving part of the Okavango Delta and the plains to its east. The reserve covers more than 4871 square kilometres of pristine wilderness, and the varied terrain includes savannah, winding waterways, and thick forest. This diversity supports an incredibly wide spectrum of wildlife, ranging from large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, to the rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope, and lion, cheetah and packs of wild dog in the open grasslands. The birdlife is prolific and includes most of the 550 bird species recorded on the Botswana national bird list. A range of luxury lodges in the reserve offer visitors the perfect base to experience this corner of paradise.

Day 5 – Final morning and flight to Maun

On your final day you will enjoy one more safari activity and return to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast. It will then be time to tear yourself away from the beauty of these surroundings and head back to the airstrip for your charter flight to Maun to pick up your onward travel plans in Botswana and continue your African adventure.
