Safari to Beach: Botswana & The Seychelles
Itinerary
Day 1&2 – Overnight flight from the UK – Kasane
After your international flight, you will arrive on Botswanan soil in Kasane. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation, which will take around 45 minutes. The warm climate and cheerful people ensure a warm welcome and you have the rest of the day to relax and get on African time!
Day 3&4 – Transfer and stay in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Today, you will be picked up in good time and drive fifteen minutes to the border crossing into Zimbabwe. There is an average waiting time of one hour, and once you have your visa and a few stamps in your passport, drive to Victoria Falls where you will spend the next 2 nights. The best months to visit Victoria Falls are April to June. Due to the end of the rainy season, the Zambezi is high, and an enormous amount of water crashes down. October, November and December the Zambezi has a low water level due to the end of the dry season. The Falls are smaller in these months because they have less water to process. Even with less water, we think a visit is worth it. The climate is pleasant (sometimes even very warm with temperatures around 40 degrees), the town of Vic Falls is very pleasant with a lot of hustle and bustle and when the water level is low, you can take a dip in ‘Devils Pool’, a naturally formed swimming pool right above the abyss of the falls.

Day 5 – Return to Kasane and stay overnight
After two nights in the guesthouse in Vic Falls, you will be picked up after breakfast and taken back to the border. After the necessary paperwork (we noticed it goes a lot faster on the way back than on the way there,) you get in with your new driver who will take you back to Kasane. Tomorrow your 4-day safari through Chobe and Moremi starts.
Day 6 – Fly from Kasane to Chobe National Park
Today, fly by small plane from Kasane to the Savuti region, also known as Savute, which lies in the heart of Botswana’s beautiful Chobe National Park. You will be staying at a luxury safari lodge made up of spacious suites with a lounge, bar, dining room and expansive deck with incredible views. Everything has been elegantly furnished in calm, neutral tones to blend with the natural environment without compromising comfort. The draw to Savute is the activities and incredible wildlife experiences. Savute is home to a large population of resident elephants, which, by default of the water, tend to congregate right in front of the lodge to get a drink.

Day 7 – Safari in the Savuti region
Savute is one of the most incredible game-viewing areas within Botswana. This dynamic wilderness is a sweeping expanse of savannah brooded over by several rocky outcrops which guard a relic marsh and the dry channel that was once its lifeline, where wild dogs hunt in the dry river channel where crocodiles swam only twenty years ago. Visitors to this spectacular area can spot abundant wildlife, including a variety of birds, elephants, antelope, lion prides, black-backed jackal, bat-eared foxes, tsessebe, kudu, hyena, cheetah, Cape buffalo herds, and thousands of migrating zebra and wildebeest.
Day 8 – Fly into the Okavango Delta
You will stay the next two nights in the Moremi region. The camp is made up of modern-styled thatched safari tents with private bathrooms and an expansive lounge area with beautiful brass and soft finishes, leading towards an extended library and private deck. There is also an open-air boma and secluded swimming pool so there is no shortage of things to keep you occupied in between game drives and bush activities. Here, you will be introduced to a whole new world of wildlife; watch a Leopard stretched out lazily in the branches of a Mopane tree and herds of Elephant grazing under a canopy of green.

Day 9 – Exploring the Moremi region
The amazing foresight of Chief Moremi created one of the world’s most famous reserves, conserving part of the Okavango Delta and the plains to its east. The reserve covers more than 4871 square kilometres of pristine wilderness, and the varied terrain includes savannah, winding waterways, and thick forest. This diversity supports an incredibly wide spectrum of wildlife, ranging from large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, to the rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope, and lion, cheetah and packs of wild dog in the open grasslands. The birdlife is prolific and includes most of the 550 bird species recorded on the Botswana national bird list. A range of luxury lodges in the reserve offer visitors the perfect base to experience this corner of paradise.
Day 10 – Final safari and flight to Maun
On your final day, you will enjoy one more safari activity and return to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast. It will then be time to tear yourself away from the beauty of these surroundings and head back to the airstrip for your scenic flight to Maun. You will be staying your final night is a charming guesthouse and have the rest of the day at leisure to relax and reminisce on your safari adventures.
