Historic town in the Atlas Mountains

Day 1 – Arrival in Imlil

Today after breakfast, you and your family will travel into the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, about a two-hour drive from Marrakech. Just outside the city, the mountain peaks loom and you drive via mountain roads to the smallvillage, located at an altitude of about 1700 meters. Several hiking trails leave from the village into the Atlas Mountains. You will spend the night in a simple but comfortable mountain hotel just outside the centre. On clear days you can look out over the snow-capped peak of Jebel Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa at 4167 metres.

Day 2 – Walk between mountain villages

After a hearty breakfast it’s time to head out with your experienced guide on a hike through the Toubkal National Park. You’ll follow a narrow mountain path towards the summit of Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Along the way you’ll pass apple orchards, waterfalls and valleys. Occasionally you’ll pass by a traditional Berber village where time seems to have stood still. You’ll stop at a particularly picturesque spot where your guide will prepare a simple picnic lunch. It’s an unforgettable experience – gazing at the snow-capped peaks!

Day 3 – Departure  from Imlil

Today your stay in the mountains comes to an end. Head to the coast for some beach time in Agadir, or venture into the Sahara Desert on a camel for a family camping adventure like no other.
