The next day, embark on an adventure into the Belizean jungle. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you’ll journey to one of Belize’s numerous caves. After a brief trek through the jungle, crossing two rivers along the way, you’ll arrive at the cave entrance. Alternating between swimming and climbing, you’ll explore the depths of the cave.

Inside, marvel at the breath-taking stalagmites and stalactites, and encounter remnants of offerings and bones, as this cave once served as a sacred site for the Maya civilization.

Day 5 – Relax by the Macal River

You will be collected from San Ignacio for your short 20 minute transfer to Chaa Creek today. This river camp is located near the Macal River.

The jungle casitas are spread widely across the complex and you can enjoy the feeling of seclusion.

The rest of the day is at your leisure. There are various hiking, horse riding and mountain biking trails around the camp that you can explore at your leisure.

Day 6 – Tubing on the Macal River

Perhaps you will be gently woken up early in the morning by the exotic jungle sounds. After breakfast, another adventure of your Belize tour begins: tubing on the Macal River. Get into your swimming ring and relax to float on the river while you get a little closer to nature.
