Cycling on Teshima, Japan

Day 1 – Welcome to Teshima

Today you will arrive on the tranquil island of Teshima. Just like the well-known island of Naoshima, Teshima boasts a variety of thought-provoking that invite you to think and dream. Teshima remains less crowded though, allowing you to experience its artistic beauty at a relaxed pace, without the hustle and bustle. Cycling around the island gives you the flexibility to take in the different art installations scattered across Teshima, like the ‘Teshima Yokoo House’ and ‘La Forêt de Murmures,’. You will spend the night in the home of a local family, who will welcome you into their home with open arms.

Day 2 – Continue your adventure

The next morning, you’ll be treated to a traditional local breakfast. This typically includes tempura, delicate tofu, fresh fish, a bowl of rice, and miso soup, all served with a warm cup of green tea to help you feel refreshed. After breakfast, you will board the ferry to your next destination, ready to continue your journey.
