Day 1 – Arrive in Fukuoka

Welcome to Kyushu, Japan’s southernmost main island. Fukuoka, its largest city, offers a great starting point for exploring the region. You’ll find an array of art museums and galleries to explore, as well as day-trip options to nearby islands, each with its unique charm. The city is especially renowned for its cuisine, like Hakata ramen – a savoury noodle soup. It’s full of small, casual yatai (street food stalls), which are a must-try for a truly local dining experience. During your time here, you’ll stay in a comfortable hotel that is centrally located, offering easy access to the city’s attractions. The public transport network is efficient and well-connected, making it easy for you to explore Fukuoka.

Day 2 – Time to continue

On your second day, you’ll have the morning to explore more of Fukuoka. Close to the city is Dazaifu, an old city famous for its Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines. It is a really peaceful escape and offers a deeper glimpse into Japan’s spiritual heritage.
