We work with a range of properties in each location, each personally checked by us and chosen for its comfort, character, location, and amenities. This gives us the flexibility to find the perfect spot, improves availability during busy times, and allows us to offer upgrades or customise your experience to fit your preferences. We have created our own categories which are described below to help you get an idea of the accommodation you can expect during your trip.
Here’s what to expect from your Rickshaw accommodation:
The majority of our accommodation fits in this category (category 3). Our standard accommodation is bursting with small-scale, local charm full of character and a great location to boot. From city hotels a stones throw from the sights, to Tuscan houses in the rolling countryside. We try to use small-scale, locally owned places wherever we can to give you an authentic flavour of true Italy.
In-Style accommodation - Category 4
If you’re looking for accommodation with a bit more comfort, then our In Style options are a good fit. In this category, you can expect a little extra something in terms of facilities and design. We have In Style options in many of our destinations, so just let your travel specialist know if you would prefer this level of accommodation during your trip to Italy.
Special stay
Think castles and Abbeys steeped in history with exposed beams and luxurious surroundings. Our Special Stay properties deliver just that, a little extra sprinkling of special features and ambience.
Simple accommodation - Category 2 (or 1)
This category covers some of our more basic options, like rural mountain properties to hazelnut farms. There is still a level of comfort and amenities, but this category is all about the experience and awe-inspiring locations. Here you will get close to nature, meet the locals and experience a local Italy first-hand.
