Palace in the Hills: Maharaja Style
Bite-sized tripDay 1 – Arrival in Samode
Today, you’ll travel to the village of Samode, where you’ll stay in a beautiful palace just outside the centre. It’s a glorious example of traditional Rajput-Mughal architecture, filled with bygone romance. Here, you can enjoy two beautiful swimming pools, a sauna and Ayurvedic spa centre, a classic restaurant and an intimate courtyard bar. Needless to say, you’ll be treated like royalty.
We also offer a great alternative for a smaller budget; fully furnished tents set in beautiful gardens with a lovely swimming pool just outside the village.
Day 2 – Free time
After breakfast in one of the shady inner courtyards, you can take a stroll down into the village, which originally sprung up around the palace to serve the resident Maharaja. Once you have explored the village you can head back to Samode Palace, and admire the Rajput-Mughal architecture with twisting staircases, spacious wings and sprawling frescoes.
Day 3 – Departure from Samode
Your stay in Samode ends after breakfast today. You can take a last walk around the hotel, taking in the magnificent views and the grandeur, before heading off with your driver to your next destination.
