Accommodation in Iceland

During your trip to Iceland you can stay in many different kinds of accommodation to enhance your experience of this unique country and enjoy the Icelandic lifestyle. We hand-picked a selection of accommodation across Iceland, avoiding big international chains wherever we can. Read on for more information on the different categories we use.

In Style Accommodation – Category 4

If you’re looking for accommodation with a bit more comfort, then our In Style options should be right up your street. In this category, you can expect a little something extra – maybe a pool or more elevated design. We have upgrades in many of our destinations so just let your travel specialist know if you would prefer this level of accommodation when travelling through Iceland.

Standard Accommodation – Category 3

Our standard option will give you all the small-scale charm of Iceland whilst being full of local character. From small guesthouses and hotels, to rural retreats, the majority of our accommodation falls in this category. We try to use small-scale, locally owned places wherever we can to give you an authentic flavour whilst staying in great locations.

Simple Accommodation – Category 2

This category covers some of our more simple options like lakeside guesthouses in remote spots of Iceland. There is still a minimal level of comfort but this category is all about the great location. Here you will get close to Iceland’s and experience their unique culture.
