Day 2 – Explore Athens
In Athens, the metro is not only a convenient mode of transportation but also a fascinating journey through history. As you traverse the city underground, keep an eye out for the archeological treasures that were uncovered during its construction. Today you’ll take a city tour by bike and head towards the iconic Parliament building, where you can witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony – a must-see spectacle. And just a stone’s throw away, you’ll find the renowned Acropolis Museum, a true gem of Athens, housing an exceptional collection of artifacts from ancient times.
You might make your way to the foot of the Acropolis, prepare to step back in time at the historic Dionysus Theater, the oldest theater in Europe, still standing with ancient allure. For those seeking more ancient marvels, consider a visit to the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Gate, both intriguing ruins that showcase the grandeur of ancient architecture and the stories that have shaped Athens’ history.
Day 3 – Departure from Athens
After breakfast, you will continue your journey. You can head to the excavations of Delphi, an important part of Greek history, about 3.5 hours drive from Athens. Alternatively, head to Evia to really meet the locals, or jump on a boat and island hop from the versatile Naxos all the way to the lesser-known Andros.
Depending on your next destination you will now either head to the ferry port, airport or have your hire car dropped at your hotel.

Athens – ride & bite tour
Today you will get to know authentic Greek cuisine on your bike tour with an Athens native. In three hours, you’ll cycle past their favourite places away from the crowds. Pedal through narrow streets and past small traditional restaurants to taste the typical Greek mezzes: small, hot and cold dishes. Along the way, you’ll stop at an artisan bakery and the local market to try the delicacies in the open air. With a bit of luck, the sun will be shining while you enjoy delicious treats, like sweet baklava. After your bike ride, you’ll no longer need to eat and you can enjoy yourself on one of the terraces on the Plaka or at your hotel.
Athens - Bar hopping
Discover the cosy bars of Athens just like the Greeks do. They often meet outside for a drink instead of sitting at someone’s home. Moreover, they enjoy being outdoors because of the warm days. Andreas, a friendly Greek in his late thirties, is well-informed about the latest hotspots. This way, you’ll end up at places you’d never go otherwise and easily connect with friendly Greeks. Visit 3-4 hotspots, from a hidden garden to a local favourite with Greek live music. The bars change every season. Try different drinks, from Greek wine to the city’s best cocktail. With the spontaneous Andreas, you won’t be bored. Besides, he knows a lot about the city, so it’s also educational. Plenty of ingredients for a great evening!
Athens - Dinner in the sky
Dining in the sky, a once in a lifetime experience! As the nightlife comes alive, you’ll ascend into the air. The table rotates slowly upwards, offering you views over the city. See the Acropolis, surrounding mountains, the sea, and of course, the city itself. At a table with up to 22 people, chefs prepare the 5-course dinner.
Celebrating something special? Then this would be the perfect surprise!
