Laid back Mykonos
Bite-sized tripDay 1 – Welcome to Mykonos
Upon arriving at the airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your accommodation for the next three nights. You’ll stay in a small family-run guest house, walking distance to the town centre and the beach. There’s a lovely shady terrace covered with bougainvillea, where you can enjoy your delicious Greek breakfast. Take some time to explore the iconic whitewashed buildings, winding cobblestone streets, and crystal-clear waters nearby.
Day 2 – Discover ancient ruins on Delos
For something completely different, today you will visit the neighbouring island of Delos, which is one of Greece’s most important archaeological sites. This UNESCO-World Heritage Site is hugely significant in Greek mythology as it’s the supposed birthplace of Apollo and Artemis (two Greek gods) and ancient ruins can be seen across the island. The boat to Delos departs from the old port, and the crossing takes about 40 minutes. You’ll explore the “Island of the Gods” in a small group alongside an English-speaking guide.
Day 3 – Free time on Mykonos
The next day is free for you to spend as you wish. You can explore the maze-like streets of Chora, where boutique shops, charming cafés, and vibrant art galleries wait around every corner. Relax on one of the island’s beautiful beaches, where the crystal-clear waters are perfect for a refreshing dip. Don’t miss a sunset visit to the famous windmills for a picture-perfect view, and later, immerse yourself in the island’s buzzing nightlife with a cocktail at a beachfront bar.
Day 4 – Departure from Mykonos
Today it is time to leave Mykonos, but that doesn’t mean your time in Greece has to come to an end. You can easily catch a ferry to Naxos, Andros or Amorgos.
