Life’s a Beach in Naxos

Bite-sized trip
  • Itinerary:
    Naxos
  • Duration:
    4 days / 3 nights
  • Price:
From £ 280.- per adult (excluding flights)
  • From £230, - per child (up to 11 years) (excluding flights)
Small villages with whitewashed houses, long sandy beaches, a lush green interior and delicious Greek food at cosy tavernas makes the island of Naxos a great option for a family beach stay in the Cyclades. You'll stay in an apartment just a ten minute walk from the beach and try out stand-up paddling boarding with the family in tow.
Lagune Naxos

Day 1 – Arrival into Naxos

From Piraeus (Athens) you can sail to Naxos in about 5.5 hours. We will reserve a seat for you inside, where there is air conditioning for a more comfortable journey. When you arrive into Naxos, you will be transferred from the port to your accommodation. You’ll stay in a hotel with a swimming pool located a ten-minute walk from the beach on the west coast of the island, where the beaches of Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna and Plaka merge almost seamlessly. These fine-grained sandy beaches slope gently into the sea making them ideal for children.

Day 2 & 3 –Stand-up paddleboarding & free time on Naxos

Today you will try your hand at stand-up paddle boarding, or SUP in a lagoon close to Naxos town. With an experienced instructor on hand to give you some guidance and tips, you will master balancing on the board and be gliding through the water in no time. This is a great activity for the whole family, but best suited to children over 5 years old.

The rest of your time here is free for you to do as you please. Long sandy beaches on a volcanic island are quite rare, but Naxos has plenty! Whether you build sand castles with the little ones or enjoy water activities with teenagers, Naxos is ideal for all ages. The quietest beaches can be found further south, in the hidden bays around the village of Pyrgaki.

Day 4 – Departure from Naxos

Looking to do some island hopping in the Cyclades? You can combine Naxos with the authentic island of Amorgos or visit the iconic volcanic island of Santorini.
