Day 1 – Arrival on Tinos

Today the ferry will take you to Tinos town, a pleasant spot set on the harbour where you’ll find plenty of charming restaurants and cafes along the waterfront with views of the inviting sea. Although still a well-kept secret among many tourists, Tinos town has been a revered destination for pilgrims for centuries. In August, the faithful flock to the Panagia Evangelistria, a majestic church that holds great significance. Everywhere you turn, you’ll find statues of the Virgin Mary and the smell of incense. On arrival, your driver will whisk you off to your family-friendly hotel, ideally located between the beach and the centre of Tinos. Check in and grab a local iced coffee in the shade of the trees on the terrace of a nearby taverna.

Days 2-3 – Hiking around Tinos & day trip to Mykonos

After breakfast the following morning, it’s time to embark on a day of exploring with the family! While Tinos may be less verdant than its neighbouring island of Andros, its beauty is no less breathtaking. Our hiking app can guide you today, as you transverse gravelly trails that wind through rugged mountains with views over the coastline, secluded bays and pretty villages. Keep an eye out for the renowned “pigeon houses” that dot the landscape. These remarkable structures, adorned with intricate decorations, once served as breeding grounds for pigeons, adding a unique touch to the island’s architectural heritage.

The next day you’ll hop on a ferry to Mykonos, where you’ll spend a full day exploring. The time here is yours to do as you please; wander around town’s cobbled streets, try some local favourites in a taverna, check out local craft shops or laze around on one of the many stunning beaches. Make sure to check the return ferry time and be at the port on time!

Day 4 – Departure from Tinos

As your time on Tinos draws to a close, it’s time to bid farewell and embark on the next leg of your journey. From Tinos, you can easily take the ferry to Andros, Naxos or back to Athens.
