Bite-sized tripDay 1 – Arrival on Andros
Today you will make your way to Rafina, a port city about a 45-minute drive from Athens. From here you will take the ferry to Andros, just two hours away. As you cruise across the blue sea you will sea the island come into focus with green hills rolling down into the water.
You will stay in a studio apartment in the capital Chora, with a swimming pool and local tavernas within walking distance. The beach is just a fifteen minute walk away.
Day 2 – River trekking
This morning you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the starting point of your river trekking adventure. Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll traverse the Achla river, meandering through the heart of the forest—an oasis of tranquility and the ideal place to cool down, especially during the warm summer months.
You’ll make your way to the renowned Gerolimni waterfalls, a great spot for a refreshing plunge. This river trek is suitable for children aged around 8 and above.
Day 3 – Explore Andros on your own
Today is yours to do as you wish! We will provide a hiking app with various routes, taking in waterfalls or the Panachrantos Monastery high in the mountains.
Or head to one of the many beaches for some sun, sea and playing in the sand. There are two great beaches within walking distance of your apartment, Paraporti and Nimborio, and a little further away is Gialia Beach which is popular with the locals.
Day 4 – Say goodbye to Andros
