Seaside Siesta
Bite-sized tripDay 1 – Arrival in Boca de Camarioca
Today you’ll travel to Boca de Camarioca, ready to check into a locally owned casa particular, just a stone’s throw from the sea. You’ll have a private bathroom, and your own keys so you can come and go as you please. Depending on when you arrive, you may have time for a dip in the Caribbean and a lie down on one of the two little beaches at either end of the town, before visiting one of the local restaurants for a bite to eat.
Day 2 – Free time
There’s nothing planned for your time here, so you can just sit back and relax if that’s what you feel like doing. The east beach has a little bar which serves cold beer and seafood lunches. If you do get restless then your casa owner can help you hire bikes to explore the natural area – Playa El Coral is good for diving and snorkelling, and Saturno Cave has a popular natural pool which you can swim in.
With colonial Matanzas city and the bright lights of Varadero just a short taxi ride away, you’re not short of options here. There are various restaurants and bars to choose from with plenty of seafood on offer.
If this is the last stop on your journey, we’ll arrange for a private transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
Day 3 – Departure
After breakfast at your casa, it’s time to wave goodbye to Boca de Camarioca. If this is the last stop on your journey, we’ll arrange for a private transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
