Taking a classic car tour in Havana | Cuba

Blog
Havana is one of Cuba’s most iconic destinations, conjuring up images of salsa dancing, colourful houses and plenty of mojitos! On most travellers’ lists is taking a ride back in time in a classic car, an experience that our Cuba travel specialist, Emma had on her recent trip…

Riding Cuba in style…

For your first morning in Havana what better way to explore your new surroundings by travelling by classic car with a guide. It really is your first taste of Cuban life and it’s something I cannot stop raving about since my trip to Cuba! Like most people, one of the first things you think of when heading to Cuba is being whisked back to the 50’s for a few days. This tour allows you to see all the main highlights whilst a knowledgeable guide explains all about day to day Cuban life and the rich history of the country.

Exploring the city

You’ll be picked up in a classic car with a driver and guide around 10am. The tour is approximately two hours by car and then you’ll head off on foot to explore historical Havana Vieja for the last hour. You’ll get to see both parts of Havana which are split into the Miramar and Vedado districts. Your guide will stop off at the main places of interest such as the Revolution Square, Havana park, Morro-Cabana Fortress and 5th avenue which is where many of the big military figures in Cuba reside.

Time for mojitos!

Your walking tour with the guide will be based around Havana Vieja, stopping at galleries, markets, the Cathedral and more. After your sightseeing tour you can head off for lunch and a well-earned Mojito.

It’s the only way to spend your first morning in Havana!

This classic car excursion is part of our Classic Cars in Havana 3-day trip.
