Day 1 – Arrival in Corcovado

You’ll travel to Danta Corcovado and enjoy a warm welcome whilst your bags are whisked away to your jungle lodge! You’re free to relax on the terrace or enjoy a cold beer. If you’d like to warm up your hiking legs, you could walk one of the 3 nature trails on site or take a visit to the canopy viewing platform.

Days 2-3 – Hiking in the national park

Early the following morning you’ll be transferred to Los Patos Ranger Station and from here you’ll start the first of your hikes heading to Sirena Ranger Station. When you leave here for Los Patos Ranger Station, you will take only a smaller bag holding your essentials for the next 2 nights, we will then arrange for your main luggage to be taken to your beachside lodge.

The hike is approximately 24km long and is mostly downhill, with the odd hill climb. In dry weather, the trail should take between 5 and 6 hours. In the green, or wet, season, it may take up to 7-8 hours and you should be prepared to get a bit muddy! You’ll arrive late afternoon to Sirena Ranger Station to watch the sunset with a well-deserved beer.

The accommodation is basic with bunkbeds and shared bathroom facilities, but the feeling of adventure is second to none! The day after you arrive your guide will take you out to explore more of the surrounding area, there’s plenty of wildlife hidden in the canopy above so keep your eyes peeled. Your guide is an expert in spotting sleepy sloths and scuttling lizards.

Day4  – Wave good bye to Corcovado National Park

Today you’ll wave goodbye to the National Park and head to Drake Bay by boat. This will be a wonderful opportunity to take in the beautiful coastline and rest your legs! Upon arrival, your luggage will be waiting for you. Time to relax!
