Day 1 – Good morning Minca

After your breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver and whisked to the sleepy village of Minca. In just under an hour you’ll feel like miles away from the civilisation. With no ATMs (bring some cash with you), no wifi and not much going on this is the perfect spot for a social detox. Swing in a hammock with a book, perfect your downward dog or get your binoculars out and spot some birds – the time is yours. You’ll stay in a lovely local lodge just a short stroll from the town, with a restaurant serving amazing local food and a few hiking trails on your doorstep.

Day 2 – Time for adventure

Today is time to really explore the area. Lace up your walking shoes and, after a hearty breakfast, make your way to the meeting point where your English-speaking guide and a few more travellers will be waiting to start the journey. On your full day trip you’ll hike through the jungle and coffee plantations, enjoy a dip in a hidden waterfall, learn all about bamboo and how it’s been used in the local communities, enjoy a delicious lunch and learn about the customs and lifestyle of Tayrona people. You’ll finish off your journey with a chocolate making workshop – a perfect dessert to end a day full of activities and adventures. In the late afternoon you’ll return back to your lodge.

Day 3 – Farewell to Minca

Enjoy the last few hours of tranquillity and sounds of nature. After breakfast you’ll be ready to leave this charming corner of Colombia and head to your next destination.
