Accommodation in Colombia
During your trip to Colombia you can stay in many different kinds of accommodation to enhance your experience of this fascinating country. Expect boutique guesthouses, beachside family-run pousadas, colonial style hotels and more. We have hand-picked a selection of accommodation across Colombia, avoiding big international chains wherever we can. Read on for more information on the different categories we use.
In Style Accommodation – Category 4
A great location and comfort are the most important factors in this category, and this accommodation offers a more boutique feel and quality. We can upgrade in most places, so please ask your Travel Specialist about where to add these to your itinerary.
Standard Accommodation – Category 3
This is the category which most of our accommodation falls into. Standard accommodation offers an inviting atmosphere, local charm and small-scale. A clean, attractive and well-kept posada in a good location is a good example of our category 3 accommodation.
Simple Accommodation – Category 2
In some areas there aren’t as many options to choose from or in some cases the area you are visiting is more special than where you’ll stay. A great example of this is the cabins you will stay in during your time in Tayrona National Park, these are simple rooms made of wood with basic amenities but in a magnificent location.
Basic Accommodation – Category 1
This category is used where you won’t find many accommodation options available, or if you are staying somewhere unique – it’s all about the experience! A great example of this is sleeping in a hammock in Tayrona National Park amongst the fresh air and under a blanket of stars.
Special Stay Accommodation
Did someone say upgrade? Our Special Stay properties deliver a little something extra when it comes to features, location and feel – like a rooftop jacuzzi at our Special Stay hotel in Medellín. Go on treat yourself!
