See sunrise in the Yellow Mountains

If you fancy exploring the jutting peaks, deep canyons and the odd-shaped pines of the Yellow Mountains then take a couple of days to discover this unique area for yourself. Spend a night in the town of Tunxi in a traditional guesthouse and another on the mountain-side itself. Take the many walking trails from your hotel to the viewpoints and enjoy the sunrise over the craggy rocks.

Discover Tiger Leaping Gorge

If you want a real challenge during your trip to China then why not take a two day hike through the epic Tiger Leaping Gorge. You will climb up to over 2500m along the top of the gorge with the mighty river flowing below you. Staying at a half-way lodge will give you a chance to meet fellow explorers and admire the sprawling views below.

Explore rice terraces and Zhuang villages

This bite-sized trip gives you the chance to explore the area surrounding Ping’an in Southern China and the famous Dragon’s Back Bone. You’ll hike through wooded areas, ascend lush, green rice paddies and along river banks during this five hour trek. You will also pass through several villages during the day where you can see the locals going about their daily lives and get a real sense of the scale of the agricultural land in this area.
