Bite-sized tripDay 1 – Jasper to Kamloops
You’ll arrive bright and early at the station in Jasper, in time to watch from the platform as your train slowly pulls in! Onboard, you’ll settle into your seat where you’ll be served regionally inspired gourmet meals.
En route, you’ll be treated to panoramic views and the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide including Mt Robson (the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies), Yellowhead Pass, and the North Thompson River. By evening, you’ll arrive in Kamloops where your transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Your time here is your own and you’ll find plenty of great spots to eat along Victoria Street.
Day 2 – Kamloops to Vancouver
The next morning, you’ll depart Kamloops and follow the meandering Fraser River towards Vancouver. You’ll be served breakfast on board. Today, the landscape changes dramatically and you’ll soon discover winding river canyons and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate, as well as the cool blue lakes and rugged peaks of the Cascade Mountains. Everywhere you look you’ll find steep gorges, flowing rapids, and dense forestry. You’ll arrive in Vancouver by the evening and from here, it’s time to say goodbye to the Rocky Mountaineer and begin the next part of your Canadian adventure!
