Quebec City is all about history, architecture and most people’s favourite, food. Over the centuries, the lanes and squares of the Old Town, a World Heritage Site, have seen the continents first of many things; from the first parish church to the first museum and the first French university. You’ll embark on a historical tasting tour with your guide, who of course; is dressed in a period costume, as you discover hidden treasures of the city and enjoy local food tastings.

Day 1 – Arrival in Quebec City

Today you’ll arrive in the city around midday, giving you plenty of time to explore the city with its French influences. Your hotel is located only a 10-minutes drive from Old-Quebec, and close to many small cafes and bistros for a lunch break. In the afternoon, you can visit some of Quebec’s top sights, including the famous Museum of Civilisation and the Le Chateau Frontenac, an iconic site in Quebec which is more than just a hotel. If you want to tour around Le Chateau Frotnenac, just let your Travel Specialist know – and we can book this for you.

Day 2 – Walking and tasting tour

This morning is free for you to explore the city some more before your tour this afternoon. The next few hours are dedicated to the history and cuisine of the city. During this guided walking and tasting tour, you’ll discover picturesque Old Quebec; immerse yourself into the city’s fascinating history along with your guide, who is dressed in their period costume. You’ll stop at four different foodie spots that include cider, ice cream and smoothies to sample!

In the evening you can hop on the cable car, or Funicular, between the upper and lower parts of the city, and if you wish, you can continue your own culinary journey in one of the many typical Canadian/French restaurants. Wander through the colonial streets with their French charm and spend some time at a historic harbour, Vieux Port, now known for its nightlife.

Day 3 – Departure

After breakfast this morning, you still have plenty of time to explore further if you wish. You could take a stroll along the St. Lawrence River, or perhaps hop on the ferry across the river to enjoy a different view of the city. It’s then time to leave, from here you can enjoy some whale spotting in Tadoussac or explore Montreal.
