Zipping through Whistler
Bite-sized tripDay 1 – Arrival in Whistler
If you’re travelling to Whistler from Vancouver or Vancouver Island, you’ll be arriving via the famous ‘Sea to Sky Highway’, which has stunning views all the way from the Pacific coast to the alpine hills that backdrop this famous adventure town. Settle into your accommodation, a short walk from the centre of the village, then head off in search of some food at one of the many cosy restaurants.
If you arrive early enough then you could rent bikes, head out on a short hike, or try out paddleboarding, not forgetting to get your family picture taken in front of the iconic Olympic rings!
Day 2 – Zip-trekking adventure
Today, we’ve included an exhilarating activity for the whole family. You’ll be guided across the treetops on a network of zip-lines, crossing the rivers, creeks and flower-filled meadows below. If you have very young kids or don’t fancy zip-lining, we can change this trip to include tickets for the gentler Peak2Peak Gondola instead, where you will have breath-taking views over Whistler village, the mountains, lakes, glaciers, forests and faraway oceans.
Day 3 – Depart Whistler
We can easily extend your time here, otherwise this morning it’s time to depart and continue your family adventure. You can either travel eastwards towards the spectacular Thompson River, westwards for bear spotting on Vancouver Island. Or you could finish your unforgettable trip in cosmopolitan Vancouver city. The choice is yours!
