Bite-sized tripDay 1 – Arrival in Kampot
Today you’ll travel to sleepy Kampot, with it’s laid-back, old French colonial charm and riverside location, it’s the perfect place to relax for a couple of days. Once you’re settled into your hotel, you can amble along the promenade and soak up the views of the Elephant Mountains in the distance.
Day 2 – Explore Kampot province
This morning you’ll set out with your local guide to learn all about the area surrounding Kampot town, from pre-Angkorian caves and small mountain wells, used for worship by local people to pepper plantations and sea salt fields – Kampot has lots of discover. Heading back towards town you’ll pass colonial buildings, fish markets and stop to sample some local Khmer coffee.
Around lunchtime, you’ll visit Teuk Chur rapids – a nice section of the river where the locals like to swim. Here you can stop off and have a bite to eat before you head back into Kampot town. On the way back, you’ll visit a durian plantation, rambutan fruit orchard and a handicraft village, passing through the lush landscape all along the way. Your evening is free to relax back in the town.
Day 3 – Departure
It’s time to say goodbye to laid-back Kampot and travel on to the next destination on your Cambodian adventure.

Kampot River - Sunset river cruise
