Get lost among the overgrown temples and giant carved relics of Angkor, one of the man-made wonders of the world. Watch dawn break over Angkor Wat and the sunrise reflecting in the lake. There’s really nowhere quite like it. During this trip, you’ll spend three days exploring the temples with Siem Reap as your base. The city is a traveller hub with a big heart, packed with market stalls, Khmer restaurants and lively bars.
Angor Wat Cambodia

Day 1 – Arrival in Siem Reap

Arriving in Siem Reap, you’ll settle into your cosy central hotel with pool and friendly staff. You can spend the evening ambling around Siem Reap, tasting the local Khmer specialities and sifting through the souvenir stalls. If you get here early enough, drop into the Cambodian Landmine Museum, a fascinating and heart-wrenching place run by land mine victims.

Day 2-4 – Angkor Wat – guided tour

The following morning, you’ll be collected by your guide before dawn for a tour of the temples. Watching the sunrise behind Angkor is something that is likely to stick with you for a lifetime. You’ll visit the temple highlights, wander between the endless carved relics and learn about their fascinating history. If you want to immerse yourself in these impressive temples for longer, you can opt for a 2-day tour where you’ll see temple highlights as well as lesser visited and more mysterious places. Just let your travel specialist know!

Siem Reap – Free time & departure

On day 3 you’ll have time to explore Angkor and Siem Reap independently, ambling between crumbling jungle ruins and visiting local markets. Alternatively, if you’re starting to reach temple saturation point, you can visit the local project we support here, the Cambodia-Dutch Foundation. This project supports the well being of the Cambodian people through various aid projects. The following day you’ll carry on to your next destination.
