Days 1-3 – Flavours of Hanoi

Buzzing, busy, and brimming with character – Hanoi is the ideal Asian city to discover with children of all ages. It is easy to explore and has plenty of sights and sounds to keep you busy. During your time here you’ll head out with your own guide to sample delicious local delicacies served from the many food vendors that line the streets; a fantastic way of introducing yourselves and your kids to new foods in a fun and meaningful way!

Days 3-4 – Junk boats of Bai Tu Long Bay

This morning you’ll be collected early from your hotel in Hanoi and drive the 4-hour journey to Halong port. You’ll travel in a minibus with your group and guide and make a stop along the way to pick up snacks and stretch your legs. Sparkling emerald waters littered with soaring limestone islands; Bai Tu Long Bay is a must for any family looking to add “incredible experiences” to their holiday wish list. You’ll sleep aboard a traditional junk boat, cruise through rocky outcrops, and explore its rich biodiversity during this memorable overnight cruise.

Days 4-6 – Peddle & paddle through the paddies

After you cruise back to land you’ll board your transfer to your next destination, Ninh Binh. Ninh Binh is often overlooked by visitors but yet is home to some of the most spectacular landscape in Vietnam, mixing soaring limestone karst mountains with flooded rice paddies and meandering rivers to create the most picturesque of outdoor playgrounds to explore! Meet the farmers, sail on wooden boats and cycle along narrow paths to local villages for a fascinating insight into how families live in the rural countryside.

Days 6-8 – Adventure through ancient caves – Phong Nha

After your stay in Ninh Binh, you’ll be transferred to the train station in Hanoi to catch the sleeper train to Dong Hoi, the closest station to Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park. The train is air-conditioned and you’ll sleep in a soft-sleeper 4 berth couchette. When you arrive the next morning, you’ll be greeted by your driver and transferred to your accommodation.

An action-packed few days awaits you and your family in one of Vietnam’s best kept secrets – Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. Witness the verdant landscapes, cycle through rural villages, and discover cavernous caves in a region formed 400 million years ago. It’s an outdoor adventure lovers paradise, packed full of natural wonders and exhilarating activities for everyone.

Days 8-11 – Beach breaks & bicycles

Today there is another train journey but this time it’s during the day, you’ll head south to Danang where you’ll be transferred to your stylish beach hotel. Find yourselves with the sands of a tropical paradise between your toes with a few nights on the golden shores of Hoi An, an ancient town steeped in history, packed full of charm, and brimming with countless fun-filled activities, sights and sounds for all ages and interests. So kick back, relax and soak up the sunshine in one of the finest spots in Vietnam to visit as a family.

Days 11-14 – Exploring ancient Angkor

Today you’ll wave goodbye to Vietnam as you head to the airport in Danang for your flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia. On arrival, you’ll be transferred to your central hotel.

No trip to Cambodia is complete without visiting one of the world’s most incredible man-made sites – the temples of Angkor. You’ll stay 3 nights in comfy hotel with a pool in nearby Siem Reap, with a great range of restaurants and entertainment on your doorstep.

During your stay you’ll head out to explore the site with a private local guide, starting with sunrise over the iconic Angkor Wat temple. After some breakfast back at the hotel, you’ll return to explore more of the pathways, temples and hidden corners of Angkor. Like a fantasy world of ancient gods, on a truly epic scale, it’s an experience which adults and kids of any age will never forget. As your Indochina family adventure comes to an end you’ll be transferred back to the airport for your international flight home.
