Your destination during this Porto Galinhas trip is one of Brazil's most beautiful beaches: 7 miles of sand lined with coconut palm trees. You'll spend three nights at a beachfront pousada in an exotic atmosphere. Porto Galinhas has always been one of the Brazilian's favourite beach getaway locations. Once you visit the area you'll understand why Brazilians love it. During ebb tide, a wall of coral right off the coast creates the most beautiful natural swimming lagoons. The deep blue warm, clear water transforms the lagoons into delightful open air baths.

Day 1 – Recife – Porto Galinhas

Depending on your travel plans you’ll either be collected from the airport in Recife or at your hotel for the 1.5 hour transfer to Porto Galinhas. After driving for about 15 minutes you’ll leave the city streets behind and drive through rolling green hills covered with sugarcane plants. Porto Galinhas was once a small fishing village, but these days it’s a thriving tourist town popular with Brazilians with shops, bars and restaurants. You’ll stay at a beachfront pousada approximately 2km from town and a hammock will be waiting for you on your balcony or veranda!

Days 2-3 – Porto Galinhas – free time

During your time here you can enjoy Brazil’s sun, sea and sand as you’ll have plenty of time for strolling on the beach, reading in a hammock or swimming in one of the natural lagoons off the coast. Grab a taxi cab into town for dinner or browse the local shops. While in town, you can also hire a dune buggy – either with or without a driver – to explore the surroundings.

Day 4 – Porto Galinhas – Recife

Today you’ll be collected from your pousada and taken back to Recife. Upon your arrival you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation or at the airport, depending on the rest of your travel plans.
