Known to the locals as 'The City in the Garden', Singapore is the perfect family stopover destination. From boat rides along the river to gardens full of colourful flowers, there's plenty here to keep the family entertained. Singapore is one of the easiest Asian countries to travel to with children, being one of the safest and cleanest places on this side of the world - and with super efficient transport. Here you'll find an eclectic mix of cultures, explore man-made Sentosa Island full of attractions, taste delicious food at the Hawker Centres and discover the supertrees at the Gardens by the Bay.
Singapore landmarks

Day 1 – Arrive in Singapore

Arriving in Singapore, you’ll head straight to your hotel located in the city, in easy reach of Singapore’s heritage and culture. From here the rest of the day is free for you to explore. We’d recommend heading to Sentosa Island, a resort just off the south coast, reachable by road, cable car or monorail. The island was man-made and built for nothing other than ‘fun’, with many attractions for your family to enjoy.

Head to the pristine white sandy beaches to enjoy the sun and perhaps take part in some water sports or discover more than 3,000 species of insects across the world at the butterflies & insects kingdom. If your family is full of daredevils, you can zip line through the trees, luge ride down the hills and experience the cutting-edge rides at universal studios. At the end of the day before heading back to your hotel, you can watch the Wings of Time show, a night show set against the open sea in Sentosa featuring a beautiful display of water, laser and fire effects.

Day 2 – Free time

Today is yours for the taking. Walk through Haji Lane, the original ‘indie neighbourhood’, and grab yourself a famous Selfie Coffee, trust us – it’s worth it. Learn all about Singapore’s history from a bumboat ride on the river, which takes a cruise around Merlion Park – giving you plenty of photo opportunities. If your family are food crazy, head to Lau Pa Sat for some lunch, it blends striking architecture and history with scrumptious food – you’ll find all sorts of Asian dishes here!

No trip to Singapore is complete without a visit to the Gardens by the Bay. Spanning 101 hectares, it’s home to the world famous Supertrees and Biodomes cloud forest; if you come here in the evening, you’ll also be dazzled by the Garden Rhapsody show – there’s nothing quite like it!

Day 3 – Departure

Today it’s time to leave Singapore. If you have time this morning you can take a walk around Chinatown’s vibrant neighbourhood and experience the sights, sounds and heritage here. It’s then time to head to the airport and move on to your next destination.
