You'll paddle through the beautiful rainforest surroundings and stop off at local villages where you'll meet the Bidayuh tribe; a great way to help open the kids' eyes to one of the many different cultures in our world.
Borneo Sarawak Damai beach

Day 1 – Arrive at Damai Beach

Today you and the family will be picked up and transferred straight to your hotel located along the sandy beach, facing the ocean. The hotel has two swimming pools, one perfect for young kids wanting to take a splash and the other giving you beautiful clifftop views. The afternoon is free for you to do what you want, relax by the pool, dip in the sea or if you all want to get out and about then you can head to a nearby village for a stroll and a bite to eat.

Day 2 – Kayak adventure

After your breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be picked up by your driver who will transfer you to the area of Bengoh. From here you’ll grab some lifejackets and hop into your kayaks to begin your trip. Whilst paddling downstream you’ll see the lush rainforest surroundings and beauty of the limestone rocks.

A short paddle later, you’ll stop at a local village and meet the Bidayuh tribe; they are one of the main indigenous groups in Sarawak and visiting this area will really open your kids’ eyes to the different cultures around the world. After a refreshing dip in the river, you’ll continue a bit further downstream, from where you’ll be picked up by your driver and taken back to your resort – where the rest of the day can be spent however you like.

Day 3 – Departure

Today it’s time to leave the golden shore behind as you pack your bags and head onto your next destination. If you’d prefer to spend an extra day or two relaxing on the beach, just let your travel specialist know!
