Rod travelled from Beijing to Xi’an where he saw the famous terracotta army, before heading to the pandas of Chengdu and visiting here, the crystal lakes of Jiuzhaigou. “We just loved the karst mountains and the beautiful rice terraces and the bike and raft rides, it was all simply wonderful.”
Mekong Delta

Cynthia and her family started their Vietnam adventure in Saigon before getting immersed in life on the Mekong River. After a local homestay experience, they continued on to Bai Tu Long Bay, Hoi An and Ninh Binh. “We had a perfect, amazing experience, thanks to your wonderful expertise.”
Bandhavgarh National Park

Richard and his wife took a 25-day trip visiting Delhi, Jaipur, the Taj Mahal, and Orchha before taking a safari jeep tour in Bandhavgarh National Park where they snapped this beautiful tiger shot. “The itinerary put together for us was great, everything ran like clockwork. All in all, we had an amazing experience in India & would definitely use Rickshaw Travel again.”
Inle Lake

Nina was our competition winner and bagged herself a 16-day trip to Myanmar. From Yangon to Pyin Oo Lwin and Mandalay to Bagan, her trip ended in the Inle Lake which she discovered the sheer beauty, floating gardens and marvelled at the famous leg rowers in action.
Tirtagngga, Bali

Gavin ventured to Indonesia for his second Rickshaw trip with his wife and daughter. Discovering Bali and the Gili Islands in 19 days, they spent a night in Tirtangangga where they stayed with a local family, trekked through rich green valleys and roasted coffee beans. “A small travel company that focuses on giving you personal attention. We have had two amazing holidays through Rickshaw to date.”
Poon Hill

Tony trekked through forests and villages for an epic sunrise view at Poon Hill. Over five days he climbed stone staircases and hiked lush foothills to get a real taste of trekking in Nepal.

Debra and Andrew celebrated their 25th anniversary in Sri Lanka, spending 16 days travelling through Colombo, Kandy, Ella, Unawatuna, Mirrisa and Nuwara Eliya where they met local tea pickers in the fields and walked along the picturesque plateau at Horton Plains.
Bako National Park

Danielle and her family embarked on a short 8 day trip to Borneo, stopping at Kuching, Semenggoj, Kubah and Bako national park along the way. “Arriving at Bako National Park (via an exhilarating boat ride), wading on to the un-spoilt beach and then seeing hibiscus monkey’s swinging through the trees was definitely the highlight of my trip”.

Eric and his partner embarked on a scenic advenuture through the Kingdom of Bhutan; visiting mighty dzongs nestled in green valleys, spotting swooping cranes and following winding trails to the famous Tiger’s Nest. “Tiger’s nest hike was the highlight of our trip to Bhutan, plus I think some of the conversations about the places and culture with our guides were among the most meaningful experiences”.

Gavin and his family ventured off on a 2-week holiday to Malaysia, soaking up the sights of Kuala Lumpur, ambling through the jungle canopies and island hopping to tropical beaches. “The number of family memories we made together, all the different experiences we showed our daughter, seeing a Tapir on the night jungle walk, snorkelling in the clear sea’s and ending our trip in Lang Tengah – it all was a highlight for us”

Starting in Santiago, Amelia journeyed from penguins and glaciers to the world’s driest desert on an epic journey through Chile.“It was a fantastic journey through a beautiful and fascinating country. I spent my birthday in the Torres del Paine national park, the scenery is amazing. We are back, yes, but my heart is still in Chile.”
