Product Specialist

As someone who is always in search of an adventure, I was inspired to travel from a young age following various trips with my family to visit relatives around the globe. As soon as I finished school I was off on an 8-month backpacking trip before starting university. I have since worked for a variety of tour operators specialising in the Far East at First and now worldwide locations in the Rickshaw product team.

Adventure

There is nothing quite like heading off into the unknown and exploring new corners of the world. I try to plan my trips with a little flexibility as you never know where the days will take you and you may end up a little off your predicted path! I think it is important to get out of your comfort zone and throw yourself into any new opportunity and experience that comes your way.

Food

One of my favourite things to do when travelling is check out the local foodie scene. It is such an important extension of any culture and destination, showcasing everything from ancient traditions to more recent influences. I love that it is something that brings people together all over the world and a great opportunity to interact with locals and learn more about your destination.

Photography

I am a very keen photographer and will never be too far away from my camera when travelling. For me, it is the best way to capture and store my memories and get a real sense of the place (even though sometimes a photo can never do it justice!). I do however think it is important to really experience everything in real time so be sure to also pop your camera down and take It all in.
