Ella
Travel SpecialistMy love of travel has bloomed since my first long haul trip to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia before I started university in the UK. Since then, I have studied at universities in Ghana and Thailand, including during a year abroad, where I solo travelled Thailand, Vietnam, Borneo (Malaysia), Indonesia and Taiwan. During these awe inspiring visits I had the opportunity to take part in many beautiful sunrise volcano hikes in Indonesia, learn from Monks on multiple Buddhist retreats in Thailand and see wild Orangutans in Borneo. This has enthused my passion for responsible, sustainable travel.
I travel for...
Nature
Immersing myself in a range of different landscapes has been one of the highlights of my travels, from beneath waterfalls, within rainforests, to standing on the edge of a volcanic crater. The experience of joy when watching the sun rise over Mount Bromo in East Java cemented the core reasons why I love travelling.
Learning
Having the privilege to learn from different people, places and ways of being other than my own has enriched my understanding of other cultures, helped to developed international friendships and widened my perspectives on the world as a whole.
Happiness
The feeling of travelling in between destinations and watching the world go by, be that by air, train, bus, boat, motorbike or tuk-tuk (to name a few!) Is my favourite feeling in the world.
